TRS desperados vandalise Renuka Chowdhury's office
HYDERABAD: TRS chief K Chandrasekhar Rao’s militant brigade went on the rampage again on Wednesday, destroying public/private properties and renaming signboards in some places.In Khammam, KCR’s men also targeted the camp offices of ex-Union minister Renuka Chowdhury and ex-Congress MLA Jalagam Venkat Rao in the early hours of Wednesday. While Rao’s office was vandalised, the attackers attempted to set afire Renuka’s office-cum-residence. But her alert staff quickly doused it. The damage was limited to a few windows as the attackers departed, leaving behind a letter dubbing her as “anti-Telangana”.At Rao’s place, the rowdy elements burnt a sofa, damaged furniture, smashed the computer and glass windows. Rao’s photo albums were also set on fire. “The men wore masks, TRS badges and were shouting Jai Telangana,” a Rao aide said.In Hyderabad, TRS workers allegedly stoned a major garment shopin Ameerpet and tried to set afire two railway bogies at Kachiguda railwaystation’s watershed. Luckily, the fire didn’t spread but the bogieswere left partially burnt. “It’s surprising that they entered ahigh-security zone so easily. We will probe,” a railway SIsaid.In other incidents of violence, an RTC bus was set on fire nearChaitanyapuri in Dilsukhnagar while a school bus was gutted in Kothapet.
Theprotesters targeted Shaikpet tehsildar office late on Tuesday night and setoffice files on fire. A jeep was also gutted. In Karimnagar, unidentified menset the tehsildar’s office on fire. A quick police responselimited the damage to a few files. A cell tower in Dharmaram was also set ablazein the early hours of Wednesday. While in Medak, TRS men set the furniture onfire at Mirdoddi excise office and tehsil office in Daulatabad.
