Train services disrupted due to floods

GUWAHATI: In view of flood waters submerging railway tracks at many places in Katihar and

Alipurduar

divisions of

Northeast Frontier Railway

, several long distance trains have been cancelled, diverted and short terminated.

, 15909 AA Express between Dibrigarh-Lalgarh, 15660 Kanchanjungha Express between Agartala-Sealdah, 12378 Padatik Express between New Alipurduar-Sealdah and 13142 Teesta

Torsa Express

between New Alipurduar-Sealdah were cancelled on Tuesday.

Besides, 13148 UB Express between New Coochbehar- Sealdah, 13150 K K Express between Alipurduar Jn-Sealdah, 75708/75707 DEMU between Radhikapur-Siliguri Jn-Radhikapur, 75719/75720 DEMU between Malda court-Siliguri Jn-Malda Court, 55711/55712 Passenger train between Malda Town-New Jalpaiguri-Malda Town, 55715/55716 Passenger train between Katihar-Siliguri Jn-Katihar will also remain cancelled on Tuesday, the release issued by NFR CPRO Pranav Jyoti Sharma here said.

The other trains cancelled on Tuesday are 15463/15464 I/C Express between Balurghat-Siliguri Jn-Balurghat, 15719/15720 I/C Express between Katihar-Siliguri Jn-Katihar, 13245 Capital Express between New Jalpaiguri-Rajendranagar, 55743 & 55763 Passenger train between Katihar-Jogbani-Katihar, 12523 Express between New Jalpaiguri-New Delhi, 12364 I/C Express between Haldibari-Kolkata, the release said.

55812/55811 Passenger train between Kamakhya-Dhubri, 22411

AC Express

between Naharlagun- New Delhi, 55727/55728 Passenger train between Katihar-Radhikapur- Katihar and 55717/55718 Passenger train between Katihar-Telta-Katihar were also cancelled.

The short termination and short origination of trains on Tuesday include 12488/12487 Seemanchal Express at Arariya, 13159/ 13160 Kolkata-Jogbani Express at Simraha, 13161/13162 Kolkata-Balurghat Express at

Malda Town

, 13063/13064 Howrah-Balurghat Express at Buniyadpur, 55733/55734, 55735/55736, 55739/55740, 55741/55742, 55755/55764 Katihar-Jogbani Passenger train at Forbesgunj.

In view of receiving track fit certificate with speed restrictions in Alipurduar-New Coochbehar section the following trains will resume, the release said.

The trains are 55465/55466 Alipurduar Jn-Bamanhat-Alipurduar Jn passenger, 55467/55468

Siliguri

Jn-Bamanhat- Siliguri Jn Passenger train and 15771/15772 Alipurduar Jn-Kamakhya-Alipurduar Jn Intercity Express, the release said.
