NEW DELHI: In a statement that could trigger another row, BJP leader Sakshi Maharaj on Friday hit out at Asaduddin Owaisi's defence of Yakub Memon and said that those who do not respect judiciary can go to Pakistan.
"People who can't respect Indian system and judiciary can go to Pakistan, door is open," Sakshi Maharaj said reacting to Asaduddin Owaisi's comments on death sentence awarded to 1993 Mumbai serial blasts convict.

Asaduddin Owaisi has decried the capital punishment awarded to Yakub Memon.

The parliamentarian who represents Hyderabad took to social media and posted nine observations and comments on his Facebook page, one of which was that Memon had surrendered and was not arrested.
Quoting a senior journalist, Owaisi questioned why Memon should be hanged when he "proved" the involvement of Pakistan in the 1993 Mumbai serial bombings which left 257 people dead and more than 700 wounded.


Yakub Memon is scheduled to be hanged to death on July 30.
On Thursday, Yakub had petitioned Supreme Court seeking a stay on his execution.
