CHENNAI: India-Bhutan Foundation in association with Siyahi and Usha International will host the fifth edition of ‘Mountain Echoes,’ a literary and cultural festival set in the serene surroundings of Bhutan.
The festival, to be held at Thimphu in Bhutan from May 22 to 24, will be attended by more than 50 Indian and Bhutanese writers.
Four films, including ‘Bhutan Women Forward’ by Kesang Chuki Dorjee, ‘The Red Door’ by Tashi Gyeltshen, ‘Finding Happiness’ by Ted Nicolaou and ‘The Yak Herder's Son’ by Tshering Tempa will be screened as part of the festival.
Exhibitions of Bhutanese textiles and contemporary art also will be held as part of the festival.
