Recent cross-cultural fashion activity only shows that all eyes are on the Indian consumer

In a late-night cross-continental online press conference, the Italian jewellery label announced its first Indian item of jewellery. Italian label Bulgari has launched a modernised mangalsutra, a gold chain with black beads worn by Hindu women, for its Indian audience. Its brand ambassador is Priyanka Chopra Jonas, who even appeared on the cover of a fashion magazine last week wearing the dainty gold-diamond-black onyx chain, completely overshadowed by her red ruffle Dior dress.
