Telangana elections likely in mid-November

HYDERABAD: Elections to the Telangana assembly are likely to be held around November 15. Sources in the Election Commission of India (ECI) told TOI that a meeting of top poll officials in Delhi on Friday tentatively agreed to hold the Telangana polls before November 15.
“Most likely, it could be November 12. If the date is finalised, then notification for the polls will be issued on October 12,” they said.
CEC O P Rawat held a meeting with chief electoral officers of five poll-bound states in Delhi on Friday. Apart from Rajat Kumar of Telangana, the CEOs of Rajasthan, MP, Chhattisgarh and Mizoram attended the two-day meeting.
