NEW DELHI: At least seven people were killed on Wednesday after a government bus swerved and collided with two cars in Tamil Nadu’s Cuddalore, police said.
A tyre burst caused the bus to change direction and crash head-on into the cars.
“The bus collided with two vehicles that were proceeding towards Tiruchirappalli from Chennai. Seven occupants of the two private vehicles were killed. A number of people have been injured,” a district police official told PTI.
The state-run bus was travelling from Tiruchirappalli to Chennai when the accident occurred on a national highway in Cuddalore.
