COIMBATORE: Ten persons from north India, suspected to be Naxals, have been arrested from a city lodge, police said. The arrests were made Monday night following an anonymous call that some suspected Naxals were hiding in the city. A posse of police carried out searches in many lodges and nabbed the 10-member gang, police sources said. Police said two rooms were booked in the name of one Lal Babu Prasad from Bihar.
The gang members were being interrogated. Senior police officials, however, were tightlipped on the issue.
