HYDERABAD: Indian embassy officials in the US met the Indian community in

city and assured all assistance and help to the victim and another Indian who got injured after being shot at by a gunman in Kansas city.

Consulate General of India, Houston took the prompt action following the incident at Austin’s Bar and Grille in south Olathe near 151st Street and Mur-Len Road, Kansas city, US. Consul R D Joshi and Vice-Consul H Singh also met the Indian community.
Meanwhile, Union Minister for External Affairs,
Sushma Swaraj on Friday spoke to KK Shastri, brother of Srinivas Kuchibhotla in Hyderabad and conveyed her condolences to the family.
“I am shocked at the shooting incident in Kansas in which Srinivas Kuchibhotla has been killed. My heartfelt condolences to bereaved family. I have spoken to Indian Ambassador in US Mr. Navtej Sarna. He informed me that two Indian Embassy officials have rushed to Kansas,” Sushma Swaraj said on twitter on Friday morning.
The minister said the Indian Ambassador had also informed her, that Alok Madasani, who was injured in the incident has been discharged from the hospital.
“We will provide all help and assistance to the bereaved family. We will make all arrangements to transport the mortal remains of Srinivas Kuchibhotla to Hyderabad,” the minister said.
