Patna: Several children went on fast on Monday to pray for the quick and safe recovery of their schoolmate, Don Bosco student Nirmalendu Diwakar alias Bunty, who was kidnapped about two weeks ago. At the initiative of a local NGO Oxygen, the students also adopted this recourse to pressurise the police to rescue him.
The students and staff of the school held another mass prayer for Bunty���s return.

They also formed a human chain at the Pataliputra Polytechnic with placards demading his quick recovery.
Principal of the school Mary Alphonsa said she had asked the students to give up something that they like to pray for Bunty���s return. "Many of them decided to keep fast," she said. "The prayers which the students read everyday for their friend���s recovery are touching enough to bring tears to people���s eyes," she added.
Meanwhile, a delegation of teachers, parents and members of the Bihar Public Schools and Children���s Association visited CM Nitish Kumar to discuss the issue.
