rss spokesperson m g vaidya told reporters at channenahalli on the city outskirts, where the rss general council is holding a session, that a resolution to this effect was passed on saturday. it also asked the government to extend refugee status to those who fled to india after the installation of the new government in bangladesh, till their return. the sangh parivar outfit said it was unfortunate that the west bengal government was "not even giving permission to open rehabiliation centres" in the state. rss general secretary mohanrao bhagwat had said on friday that the ''inhuman excesses'' perpetrated on hindus in the wake of elections in bangladesh were still continuing.
