NEW DELHI: Srinagar is one of the parliamentary constituencies in Jammu & Kashmir.
Jammu & Kashmir National Conference (JKNC), Jammu and Kashmir People's Democratic Party (JKPDP), Jammu and Kashmir People's Conference (JKPC) are some of the major political parties that contest to win a seat from the constituency.
According to the Election Commission announcement, voting in Srinagar will be conducted in the fourth phase on May 13 with counting of votes on June 4.
Waheed Ur Rehman Para, a member of the People's Democratic Party, and Aga Syed Ruhullah Mehdi, who belongs to the Jammu and Kashmir National Conference, a party that has seen representation from three generations of the Abdullah family, are among the key candidates in the region.
The Congress and BJP have decided not to nominate any candidates for the election in this particular constituency.
