Sr shoots Army jawan in J&K
In yet another incident of fragging an Army jawan was shot dead by his senior in Bhimber Gali sector of Rajouri district close to the LoC.
JAMMU: In yet another incident of fragging an Army jawan was shot dead by his senior in Bhimber Gali sector of Rajouri district close to the LoC late on Saturday.
The incident took place on Saturday when a Lance Naik of the 13th battalion of Sikh Light Infantry got into an argument with Sepoy Malkeet Singh of the same unit. The argument, however, took an ugly turn and the Lance Naik shot the jawan with his service rifle, an Army official said.
Meanwhile, the jawan was rushed to the hospital but he succumbed to his injuries.
An inquiry has been ordered into the incident. In May, two jawans were sentenced to death by two separate summary courts-martial in the state. In both incidents the jawans had shot dead senior men in a fit of rage.
