UDAIPUR: At least 80 sheep were crushed to death by a speeding oil tanker and two shepherds injured near Rajasthan's Udaipur on Sunday.
One of the shepherds is incritical after the accident on the Udaipur-Pindwara Highway, allegedly caused by brake failure. The driver has been detained.
The crash and the commotion spawned a jam that lasted several hours.
According to police, the shepherds were taking their flock to neighbouring Madhya Pradesh from Sirohi when the tanker hit them.
