SP neta, mother shot dead; crime caught on cam

A Samajwadi Party member and his mother were shot dead within a span of 10 minutes on two separate locations by the same set of assailants on Wednesday in Uttar Pradesh.
Police said, soon after local SP member Balvinder Singh, 35, left his house in Sorkha village, three men came in front of his car and opened fire.
The shooting took place around 11am. Within minutes, the assailants reached the house and killed Balvinder’s 65-year-old mother Nichhatar Kaur.The incident was captured in a CCTV camera installed at the house.
According to officials, the daring double murder was the result of a long-standing rivalry between the deceased and their relatives.
