Six killed in Kishtwar road mishap

JAMMU: Six persons were killed when a vehicle they were travelling in skidded off the road and fell into a gorge in Kishtwar district of Jammu & Kashmir on Thursday.
Kishtwar SSP Shafqat Hussain said five persons died on the spot while one died on way to the hospital. The accident took place around 5.30 pm when the passenger van skidded off the road near Nagriana Keshwan in Thakrie block of Kishtwar.“Soon after the accident, a massive rescue operation was launched," the SSP said.
The deceased were identified as Latif Ahmad Rather, Rehman Butt, Irfan Ahmad, Ghulam Hassan, Atta Mohammad and Zubair Ahmad, all residents of Nagriana.
