Areas affected by climate chaos
Rainfall accompanied by strong winds hit the suburbs of Dadar, Kurla, Mahim, Ghatkopar, Mulund, and Vikhroli, whereas parts of south Mumbai experienced light drizzles. In another rain-triggered event, a metal parking tower under construction collapsed onto a road amidst strong winds in the Wadala region, resulting in injuries to three people and vehicle damage.
Huge billboard collapses, many still feared trapped
8 people lost their lives and more than 59 sustained injuries when a hoarding collapsed at the Police Ground Petrol Pump on the Eastern Express Highway in Pantnagar, Ghatkopar East. According to the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF), 67 people have been rescued thus far.
