Seer's bail delayed, clashes on
CHENNAI: Dravidan protestors and Shankaracharya supporters clashed outside Madras HC.
CHENNAI: TV news channels have reported violent clashes between Dravidan protestors and the supporters of Kanchi Shankaracharya Sri Jayendra Saraswathi who was arrested in connection with a murder case early on Friday.
Supporters of the seer went violent after the hearing on bail application of the seer was adjourned till Wednesday by the Madras High Court.
Shankaracharya was sent to 15 days custody on Friday.
