Earlier today, Prime Minister Narendra Modi extended his greetings on the occasion of Indian Navy Day and saluted the valiant personnel of the Indian Navy for their unmatched courage and dedication.
"On Navy Day, we salute the valiant personnel of the Indian Navy who protect our seas with unmatched courage and dedication. Their commitment ensures the safety, security and prosperity of our nation. We also take great pride in India's rich maritime history," PM Modi posted on X.

The Indian Navy plans to buy 26 Rafale-Marine fighter jets for ₹90,000 crore, Navy Chief Admiral Dinesh K Tripathi announced on December 2. The Navy is also in talks to acquire three Scorpene submarines, with a deal expected to finalize next month. “Navy Chief Admiral Dinesh K Tripathi said on December 2,” he stated.

India showcased its naval capabilities near Puri, Odisha, on Navy Day. President Droupadi Murmu observed the event, which emphasized domestically developed technology. The display featured operational demonstrations. The recent approval of nuclear submarines strengthens India's naval defense and deterrence. The celebration underscored India's growing naval strength and technological advancements.
