Coronavirus updates: Maharashtra reports 59,907 new cases, highest spike ever
The number of new coronavirus cases in India hit a record daily high since the outbreak of the pandemic with over 1.15 lakh new infections being reported in a span of 24 hours, pushing the nationwide Covid-19 tally to 1,28,01,785, according to the Union health ministry data updated on Wednesday. Army to provide 20 beds for civilian Covid-19 patients in Pune
The Army authorities have agreed to allocate 20 beds at its health facility here after the Pune district administration wrote to them seeking beds for civilian Covid-19 patients in view of a surge in cases, officials said on Wednesday. The Pune district administration sent an SOS to the Army authorities after the surge in cases led to an increase in the number of Covid-19 patients requiring hospitalisation.

Today, newly 59,907 patients have been tested as positive in the state. Also newly 30,296 patients have been cured today. Totally 26,13,627 patients are cured & discharged from the hospitals Total Active patients are 5,01,559. The patient recovery rate in the state is 82.36%.
