SC upholds Harshad Mehta's conviction

NEW DELHI: The Supreme Court onTuesday upheld the conviction of Big Bull Harshad Mehta by a special court,Mumbai, in the 1992 security scam case. A division bench of the apex courtalso upheld conviction of Pramod Kumar Manocha and Vinayak Deosthali in amajority decision.While Justice M B Shah acquitted all in the 1992 scam,Justice B N Agrawal and Justice Arijit Pasayat upheld the conviction of thethree.The bench also upheld the acquittal of Ambuj Jain and Ram NarayanPopli by the special court.
