SC notice to political parties, media groups
SC on Monday issued notices to political parties and media organisations on a PIL seeking proper regulation of opinion and exit polls.
A Bench of Justice AR Lakshmanan and Justice Dalveer Bhandari asked the respondents to reply to the notices on the PIL by one D K Thakur, filed in 2004.
The Court earlier issued notices to the Centre, the Election Commission and the Press Council of India.
