NEW DELHI: The Supreme Court on Monday issued notices to all major political parties and various media organisations on a Public Interest Litigation seeking proper regulation of opinion and exit polls. A Bench of Justice AR Lakshmanan and Justice Dalveer Bhandari asked the respondents to reply to the notices on the PIL by one D K Thakur, filed in 2004.
The Court earlier issued notices to the Centre, the Election Commission and the Press Council of India.
