#Sandesh2Soldiers campaign: PM Modi retweets people's Diwali wishes to soldiers
NEW DELHI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi's
Many celebrities, politicians and people from different walks of life have tweeted their good wishes to our jawans who guard the nation's frontiers. And on Thursday, PM Modi, retweeted many of these Diwali wishes.
In the backdrop of the surgical strikes carried out by the Army on terror launch pads in Pakistan Occupied Kashmir (POK) last month, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday had launched a campaign through which people can send Diwali greetings and messages to soldiers guarding the nation's frontiers to boost their morale.
"I sent my #Sandesh2Soldiers. You could also do the same. Your wishes will certainly make our forces very happy. This Diwali, let us remember our courageous armed forces who constantly protect our nation. Jai Hind. When 125 crore people stand with soldiers, their power increases by 125 crore times," the PM had tweeted.
Praising the Army for their service to the country, leaders like Devendra Fadnavis and Prakash Javadekar also joined the PM's initiative and conveyed their gratitude to the Army.
Apart from well-known personalities, many children posted cute message for the soldiers, which the PM then retweeted.
While some were video messages, others were handwritten notes and letters.
