NEW DELHI: Congress candidate Nanabhau Falgunrao Patole clinched victory in the Sakoli assembly constituency, narrowly defeating BJP's Avinash Anandrao Brahmankar. Patole garnered 96,795 votes, while Brahmankar followed closely with 96,587 votes.
Sakoli assembly constituency is one of the 288 constituencies of the Maharashtra legislative assembly, located in the Bhandara district of the Vidarbha region in Maharashtra. In the 2024 assembly elections, Avinash Anandrao Brahmankar of BJP fielded by Mahayuti would be in a tight fight Nana Falgunrao Patole of Congress, contesting from Maha Vikas Aghadi.

In the last assembly elections in 2019, Nanabhau Falgunrao Patole of Congress secured 41.63 per cent of the votes polled. He won against Parinay Ramesh Fuke of BJP who got 38.90 per cent votes.
In 2014 polls, Kashiwar Rajesh Lahanu of the BJP had emerged victorious with 36.95 per cent votes.
