NEW DELHI: Indian National Congress (INC) candidate Deepender Singh Hooda has won the Rohtak constituency with 7,83,578 votes. He won against BJP's Arvind Kumar with a margin of 3,45,298 votes.
The voting for Haryana's Rohtak constituency took place during the sixth phase of the Lok Sabha elections on May 25. The elections saw a voter turnout of 65.68 per cent, according to the Election Commission of India.
Rohtak is one of the 10 Lok Sabha constituencies in Haryana. This constituency covers the entire Rohtak and Jhajjar districts and part of Rewari district.

The Rohtak Lok Sabha constituency in Haryana is set to witness a rematch between BJP's Arvind Sharma and Congress' Deepender Hooda, who had previously faced off in a closely contested battle in 2019. Rohtak has long been considered a bastion of the Hooda family, with former chief minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda and his son Deepender Hooda, who served as the MP from Rohtak for three consecutive terms.
In the 2019 general election, Arvind Kumar Sharma of BJP emerged victorious with 573,845 votes. Deepender Singh Hooda from INC was the runner-up with 5,66,342 votes.
In 2014 general election Deepender Singh Hooda from INC emerged victorious by 490,063 votes while his counterpart Om Prakash Dhankar from BJP received 3,19,436 votes.
