Sameera Reddy has brought property in Mumbai (Agencies Photo)MUMBAI: Real estate prices in Mumbai have skyrocketed in the past three years and Bollywood actress Sameera Reddy felt the heat when she decided to buy a plot for herself.
"One thing I've realised is that buying a property in Mumbai is not easy because the real estates prices are so steep," remarked actress Sameera Reddy at an event held in Mumbai.
Sameera was recently seen in a Mira Nair short film
Migration which dwelt with the AIDS issue.
The tall and dusky beauty was speaking at an event organised to celebrate the tenth anniversary of Smita Thackeray's Mukti Foundation, which deals with drug abuse, HIV/AIDS, children and women's issues.
Occupying centerstage was Smita who is also a film producer and daughter-in-law of Shiv Sena chief Bal Thackeray. She commented on how rewarding it was to work for social causes. Smita also felicitated ten NGOs and awarded them cheques from her foundation.
Celebrity singer Sudesh Bhonsle, model-turned-actor Bunty Grewal and TV actor Lalit Parimoo joined 200 cheerful children from different orphanages for whom Smita had organised a special screening of the film
