RBI and SEBI must probe reasons for fall in Adani shares: Cong leader Mallu Ravi

HYDERABAD: Telangana Congress senior vice-president Mallu Ravi on Saturday demanded that the RBI and SEBI take up investigation into the plummet of shares of Adani group of companies.

"Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led BJP government has given on a platter several deals including public sector undertakings to Adani group. The fall in the prices of shares of Adani Group of Companies is not the loss of just the company but lakhs of people and the country as a whole," he alleged.

Even the LIC and SBI among others are incurring losses. "There is a threat of the economy of the country taking a beating. Why is PM Modi silent? The BJP government at the centre should immediately take up damage control exercises and order a probe into the reasons for the fall of shares of Adani Group of Companies," he demanded.
