NEW DELHI: Ayodhya is preparing to welcome thousands of devotees as the Ram Janmabhoomi temple is set to open its doors to the public from January 23.

The Ram temple in Ayodhya holds deep significance for millions of Hindu devotees who believe it is situated at the birthplace of Lord Ram.

For devotees seeking 'darshan' (viewing) of Lord Ram Lalla, the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra website provides specific time slots:

• Morning slot from 7:00 am to 11:30 am
• Afternoon slot from 2:00 pm to 7:00 pm

Aarti timings include Jagaran/Shringar Aarti at 6:30 am and Sandhya Aarti at 7:30 pm.

Passes for the 'aarti' can be obtained both offline and online. Offline passes are available at the Camp Office at Shri Ram Janmbhoomi, requiring a valid government ID proof.

To ensure a smooth experience for visitors, the website outlines steps to book passes for the Ram Mandir Aarti/Darshan:

1. Visit the official website.
2. Sign in using your mobile number, and a one-time password (OTP) will be sent to facilitate your registration.
3. Once logged in, navigate to the 'My Profile' section to select your preferred time slot for Aarti or Darshan.
4. Enter your credentials and proceed to book your pass for the chosen activity.
5. Collect a pass from the temple counter before entering the premises.

The consecration of the new idol of Ram Lalla took place at the Ayodhya temple with Prime Minister Narendra Modi taking part in the ‘Pran Pratishtha' rituals in the presence of Uttar Pradesh Governor Anandiben Patel, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat. Indian army helicopters adorned the newly constructed Janmabhoomi temple with a shower of flower petals.
