Rajnath says public participation boosted double engine in UP
BALLIA/AZAMGARH: Defence minister Rajnath Singh, while campaigning in eastern UP on Sunday, said the 'double engine' theme of BJP has been complemented with people's participation in the party's success story, which will lead to a historic verdict as for the first time a government will be retained in the state after over three-and-a-half decades.
"We have heard about the double engine governance. However, UP is witnessing a 'triple engine' with Modi's vision, Yogi's mission is complemented by people's participation,"
Rajnath also said the five phases of the polls in UP have indicated that BJP will form the government once again, which will happen the first time since 1985. "History will be written on March 10 as BJP is sure to form the government," he added.
The defence minister, who had also been UP CM, claimed that the state was witnessing a poll after decades when corruption was not a poll issues, thanks to the zero-tolerance to corruption by Modi government at the Centre and Yogi government in the state.
While a video of CM Yogi Adityanath showing parked bulldozers in his rally has gone viral, Rajnath justified the chief minister's "bulldozer baba" image, saying fear among goons and mafia is better for the state.
