NEW DELHI: Former home secretary Rajiv Mehrishi took over as the new
President Ram Nath Kovind administered him the oath of office at the Rashtrapati Bhavan. A 1978 batch (retd) IAS officer of Rajasthan cadre, Mehrishi will have a three year term till August 7, 2020. He succeeds Shashi Kant Sharma who retired on Sunday.
