Rajasthan Women Commission member quits after selfie with rape survivor stirs controversy
NEW DELHI: A member of the Rajasthan Women Commission, who was seen clicking selfie with a rape survivor, resigned on Thursday after the pictures stirred huge controversy.
The selfie was clicked by commission member Somya Gurjar, when she and the chairperson Suman Sharma met the alleged rape survivor.
The National Commission of Women, earlier in the day, had summoned Somya Gurjar and Suman Sharma.

The pictures in which Gurjar is seen clicking selfies have gone viral on social media.
The 30-year-old rape victim, a resident of Alwar district, was allegedly raped by her husband and his two brothers who tattooed obscenities on her forehead and hand for failing to pay an agreed sum as dowry.
