Rajasthan deports 10 Nepalese Tablighis for 'illegal' activities
JAIPUR: Ten Nepalese nationals linked to Tablighi Jamaat were deported from Rajasthan's Dausa for allegedly engaging in activities that police described as "illegal". The group, comprising five men and their wives, was escorted to Raxaul check post in Bihar's East Champaran Friday night, police said, reports Nitesh Kumar.
Dausa DSP Ravi Prakash Sharma said that the group entered India from Nepal on March 4, purportedly for religious purposes. However, during their stay, they were allegedly found violating the Union home ministry's guidelines for foreign visitors. The five men were staying at a mosque under Paparda police station area, while the women were residing in various homes across Dausa city.
Police launched an investigation after receiving intelligence about their suspected activities. Once the violations were confirmed, all ten individuals were detained on Friday night. Authorities then issued them 'Leave India' notices and arranged for their deportation.
