NEW DELHI: A Delhi court on Tuesday extended by 14 days the judicial custody of of R K Sharma, former Haryana IG (Prisons) and a prime suspect in the journalist Shivani Bhatnagar murder case.

NEW DELHI: A Delhi court on Tuesday extended by 14 days the judicial custody of of R K Sharma, former Haryana IG (Prisons) and a prime suspect in the journalist Shivani Bhatnagar murder case. Meanwhile, Delhi police has claimed that it has recovered the gold chain stolen from her on the day of the murder.
Metropolitan Magistrate J P Narain also remanded the other accused in the case Pradeep Sharma, Sri Bhagwan Sharma, Satya Prakash, Ved Prakash Sharma and Ved alias Kalu to judicial custody for the same period till November 5.

Delhi police also moved an application seeking permission for test identification parade to identify the gold chain recovered by them. The application will come up for hearing on Wednesday.
The court also issued notice to one Inspector Inderjeet Singh after Pradeep Sharma alleged that the officer was harassing his family members.
However, the court declined a request by Sharma''s family to meet him in the court lock-up though it allowed his counsels to have a meeting with him.
This is the second 14 day-long judicial remand given to Sharma, who for the first time was sent to judicial custody on October 8.
