R K Sharma files for anticipatory bail

NEW DELHI: Absconding IPS officer R K Sharma, prime suspect in journalist Shivani Bhatnagar murder case, on Saturday filed an anticipatory bail plea in the Delhi High Court.
The application was filed by Sharma''s counsel Mohit Mathur.
Mathur said the petition would come up for hearing sometime next week.
The Haryana Inspector General (Prisons) moved the High Court after failing twice to obtain anticipatory bail, first in Panchkula Additional District and Sessions court on August 10 and then in the Additional District and Sessions court in East Delhi on August 13.
