PVR INOX introduces a 30-minute trailer screening show at Re. 1
CHENNAI: Cinema lovers can now watch a quick compilation of all upcoming movie trailers whilst sitting comfortably in an AC hall and binging on snacks for just Re. 1.
In a first-of-its-kind content innovation move, PVR-Inox has launched curated trailer screening 30-minute shows on the big screens, at a price of just rupee 1. The screening will feature over 10 handpicked trailers of the upcoming Bollywood, Hollywood and regional movies, and offer a unique content option for the audiences.
The new show is being showcased across PVR and INOX multiplexes in the country (except for price-regulated markets in South India ) from April 7, and the company says it has been clocking audiences in the range of 50-100% capacity on weekends.
"The intention behind introducing this world-first feature is to innovate on the content front and offer what we call 'snackable content' at unprecedented pricing," Alok Tandon, co-CEO, PVR INOX, told TOI. "We have got outstanding response for the show and around 35,000-40,000 people have already enjoyed these shows since launch," he added. The company is seeing a unique and spontaneous audience for the screening in addition to audiences booked for regular shows.
The Trailer Show would be played at all the major cinemas at prime time slots. Viewers can purchase tickets at the box office or online via PVR and INOX website or app.
