Punjab polls: Congress eyes Gurdas Mann
PATIALA: The Congress is making all out efforts to rope in film stars and well-known singers to add zing to its poll campaign for upcoming assembly elections in Punjab.
Efforts are also on to convince popular Punjabi singer Gurdas Mann to contest the poll. "No one from the party has approached Mann so far. But if he wants to join Congress, we will leave Giderbaha seat for him," Chief Minister Amarinder Singh said.
The chief minister said since singer Gurdas Mann belonged to Giderbaha, it would be appropriate for him to contest from there.
