Punjab government’s CM Health Insurance Scheme provides Rs 10 lakh cover to 65 lakh families: Kuldeep Dhaliwal

65 lakh families in Punjab received cashless treatment of up to Rs 10 lakh under the Chief Minister Health Insurance Scheme, said Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Punjab’s chief spokesperson and MLA Kuldeep Singh Dhaliwal on Sunday.

He cited the example of a daily-wage labourer from Gurdaspur district who underwent a Rs 3 lakh heart treatment at a private hospital without incurring any expense under the Bhagwant Mann-government's scheme.

Addressing a press conference, Dhaliwal said, said that the Bhagwant Mann government’s assurances on healthcare delivery were now being implemented at the ground level.

He added the chief minister Health Insurance Scheme had become fully operational under the leadership of AAP national convener Arvind Kejriwal and chief minister Bhagwant Singh Mann.

AAP leaders Prabhbir Singh Brar and Gurpratap Singh Sandhu were also present at the press conference.
