Punjab elections: Bhagwant Mann shares stage with Kejriwal in new AAP ‘anthem’

BATHINDA: Eighteen days after Aam Aadmi Party came up with a song on its national convener Arvind Kejriwal, the party released another on Thursday evening, this time including Bhagwant Mann, its Chief Ministerial face in Punjab, along with the Delhi CM, in the music video.

After Kejriwal announced Bhagwant Mann as the party’s face in Punjab on January 18, demands had started pouring in to change the slogan of "Ek mauka Kejriwal nu (a chance to Kejriwal)" to "Ek mauka Bhagwant Mann nu (a chance to Bhagwant Mann)".

The song also talks about the party’s resolve of eliminating the sand mafia, drug peddling, justice in sacrilege and providing job avenues to youth to stop them from going abroad, besides reiterating AAP’s commitment of giving Rs 1,000 per month to women.

The earlier song, termed Kejriwal Anthem, told about the struggles and development-oriented model of the Aam Aadmi Party. The song, ‘Kejriwal hai-Kejriwal hai’, was sung by party candidate from Kharar, Anmol Gagan Mann.
Earlier during the 2017 assembly election, the party had given the slogan of "Kejriwal-Kejriwal saara Punjab tere naal (Kejriwal-Kejriwal the entire Punjab is with you)".
