Protect Bangladesh Hindus, Mayawati tells Centre
BSP president Mayawati Saturday urged BJP government at Centre to provide protection to Dalits and other weaker sections facing atrocities in Bangladesh. "Centre should talk to Bangladesh goverment and bring back Hindus facing violence there, majority of whom are Dalits and people from weaker sections," Mayawati said.
She alleged, as part of a conspiracy by Congress, Jessore-Khulna region of undivided Bengal was given to Pakistan and then to Bangladesh despite it being a Hindu-dominant region.
"People of Jessore-Khulna were punished for electing Dr Ambedkar to the Constituent Assembly by being given away to Pakistan in Partition," the BSP chief claimed.
