NEW DELHI: In a spiritual gesture resonating with the inauguration of Ayodhya's Ram Mandir, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday shared a playlist of 62 devotional songs dedicated to Lord Ram.

The playlist, comprised of soul-stirring 'bhajans,' was posted by the Prime Minister on his social media account X, formerly known as Twitter, marking a personal connection to the much-anticipated consecration ceremony.

Over the past few days, Prime Minister Modi had been actively engaging with citizens on social media, encouraging them to share their favorite Shri Ram bhajans. Responding to the outpour of devotion from the public, he took to X to express his gratitude and unveil the specially curated playlist.

"Over the last few days, many people have been sharing their favorite Shri Ram Bhajan. Sharing a playlist covering some of them," the Prime Minister tweeted.


In another post, PM Modi shared a list of bhajans from Suriname and Trinidad and Tobago. He said, "The Ramayan's message has inspired people all across the world."

The playlist serves as a musical tribute to Prabhu Shri Ram, encompassing a diverse range of devotional songs that transcend language barriers.

Experience the universal appeal of Prabhu Shri Ram, as each Bhajan transcends language, uniting us all in reverence, Modi said on X.

As the nation eagerly awaits the historic event, the playlist serves as a source of inspiration and unity, bringing people from various linguistic and cultural backgrounds together in devotion to Lord Ram.

On Thursday evening, the idol of Shri Ram Lalla was installed with full rituals in the sanctum sanctorum of the newly built grand temple.

The consecration ceremony for the idol of Lord Ram is set to take place in Ayodhya at 12:30 PM on January 22, with Prime Minister Narendra Modi in attendance.

The rituals for the 'Pran Pratishtha' ceremony began on Tuesday and will continue for seven days. The Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust has extended invitations to numerous VIP guests for their participation in the ceremony.
