Rajasthan Police sub-inspector has landed in a tight spot after his pre-wedding video, which depicts him in uniform as his fiancee bribes him, went viral on social media and upset his seniors.

After the video went viral, the SHO of Mandphiya in Chittorgarh complained to IG (law and order) Hawa Singh Ghumariya. In a letter sent to all the range IGs on August 20, Ghumariya banned the shooting of videos in uniform while stating that the shoot created a negative image of the
police
department.
Udaipur SP Kailash Chandra Bishnoi said, "We will examine the clip. If the SHO indeed enacted such a scene, he will be asked to provide an explanation before disciplinary action is initiated against him. Wearing a khaki uniform is a matter of pride and dignity and nothing that depicts it in a bad light will be tolerated."
DG (law and order) ML Lather told TOI that it was "unethical" on the part of the SI to shoot in police uniform which dented the image of the force. "There are rules about the use of a police uniform. The SI's conduct was evidently in bad taste," he added.
Apart from the bribe scene, the SHO's flirting sequence also drew the ire of senior officers during a top-level meeting held recently at the police headquarters. "He is a uniformed officer under oath to preserve the values of honesty, morality and services. The video did not reflect that," a senior officer said.
This was not the first time that a video flouting disciplinary code left the top brass fuming. Recently, a video of a young IPS officer dancing to Bollywood songs during a farewell organised to celebrate his transfer had gone viral.
