He said that the ruling parties in the state are "scared" of the "increasing power" of the saffron party in the southern state.

"Even though the BJP has not been in power in Tamil Nadu, the state has always been in the heart of the BJP. All my Tamil brothers and sisters understand this and are aware of it. So those who have looted the state for decades are scared of the increasing power of the BJP (in the state)," he said.

PM Narendra Modi needs to be more direct in his criticism of not only Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam, but also Dravida Kazhagam. It does not matter if Bharatiya Janata Party fails to win a single seat from Tamilnadu in the forthcoming Lok Sabha elections. It is very important to expose people who have been made into icons like E V Ramaswami Naicker, self styled as 'Periyar'. With the exception of Vaikom Satyagraha, where too his involvement was minimal, Naicker was never associated with any project aimed at emancipation of the weaker sections of society, empowerment of women, etc. Naicker was financed by some mainstream white Christian NGOs of the pre WW II period, belonging to various denominations, with the objective of de Hinduising the State. He failed in his efforts, but nevertheless made a fortune. He hurled filthy abuses against Hindu Gods and Goddesses, while simultaneously lavishing undeserved praise on Christianity and Islam. He opposed independence and declared Independence Day as a day of mourning. Naicker burned a copy of the Indian Constitution, soon after its promulgation. India's first PM Jawaharlal Nehru, referred to Naicker as a criminal, lunatic and pervert. Naicker aroused hatred against Brahmins and Dalits. He was also terribly anti Tamil, as can be proved from various actions of his. Naicker was bestowed with a larger than life image by then Tamilnadu CM M Karunanidhi after 1970, for his own political benefit. Naicker for example, was given false credit for the efforts, sacrifices and achievements of others, mostly freedom fighters, towards social reforms. This was possible because, then PM Indira Gandhi looked the other way, on account of the alliance then Ruling Congress had with the DMK, post the first Congress split of November 1969. Naicker should in fact be branded as one of the worst communal monger since independence, as the communal atmosphere has been vitiated on account of people like him.
