Earlier, Pakistani Tourism Minister Raess Munir Ahmed gave a colourful send-off to the bus at Lahore. "Pakistan keenly awaits resumption of train service between the two countries," he said while flagging of the ''Dosti Bus'' from the Flattis Hotel terminal.
The bus from Lahore, escorted by armed police, reached the Wagah border check post where it was taken for customs and immigration formalities on the Indian side.
A pilot vehicle and escort vehicle along with two assistant sub-inspectors will accompany the bus to Delhi.
