HYDERABAD: Pawan Khera, AICC media and publicity department chairperson, has moved Telangana HC seeking anticipatory bail in a case registered by Guwahati police over his allegations against Assam CM
Himanta Biswa Sarma's wife. The plea will be heard on Thursday. Khera was booked under various BNS sections, including false information, forgery, cheating, criminal intimidation and conspiracy. In his April 7 petition, he said he has not been furnished a copy of the FIR and the allegations do not constitute a valid case.
Khera had claimed that Sarma's wife holds foreign passports and has properties abroad not declared in his affidavit. Assam Police visited his Delhi residence and have now reached Hyderabad, seeking Telangana Police's help in tracing him.
