Patients abused, doctor threatened by members of Samajwadi Party's ladies wing members: Report

KANPUR: The ladies wing of Samajwadi Party has been severely criticized for allegedly manhandling patients and a doctor at a hospital in Fathehpur district. This after the doctor - Sudhir Kumar Srivastava - reportedly refused to fudge handicapped details of certain patients.
It is learnt that Fehmida Khan, national secretary of the ladies wing of Samajwadi Party, demanded alterations in handicap details of select patients.

On being refused, she and a few other women accomplices barged into the hospital on Tuesday and threatened Dr Srivastava publicly. They even manhandled lady patients present in the OPD and abused them.
The incident was recorded on tape and the matter is under investigation.
