Parliament Monsoon Session 2025 Live Updates: Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha adjourned for the day
Parliament on Monday held a marathon debate on the Pahalgam attack and Operation Sindoor, with senior leaders from both the ruling alliance and the opposition taking the floor.
Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi accused the Modi government of disrespecting India’s soldiers and failing to act against China. Referring to Operation Sindoor, he claimed it was being used for political PR and said the Prime Minister remained silent on key issues like border security and China’s actions in Ladakh.
PM Modi took sharp digs at the Congress, accusing it of weakening India’s defence post-independence, compromising national security, and putting diplomacy before farmers and the armed forces. The prime misnister slammed the Congress for appeasement, invoking past support for Afzal Guru and events like 'Aman ki Aasha' amid terror attacks. He also said some Congress MPs were barred from speaking in Parliament and urged the party not to mock a moment of national pride under pressure from one family.
