Parliament Budget Session Live Updates: The government has decided to table the Waqf (Amendment) bill on April 2, Parliamentary minister Kiren Rijiju announced. BJP, Congress, TDP, and JD(U) had issued the whip to all their members to be present tomorrow for the discussion. Meanwhile, today, the INDIA bloc held a meeting where they decided to oppose the "unconstitutional" bill.

The Parliament's final four days of the Budget session are expected to be turbulent as the government prepares to push for the passage of the Waqf Amendment Bill on Wednesday, despite strong opposition from rival parties.

The opposition has vowed to firmly resist the bill when it comes up for discussion and voting in both Houses of Parliament. According to sources, the government has completed its groundwork for the bill’s passage, backed by NDA allies and some non-aligned parties.

While an extension of the session by a couple of days is possible, no official confirmation has been given.

"As we prepare to introduce the bill in Parliament, we must participate in the debate and discussion in the House. Outside Parliament, there have been a record number of consultations. JPC has gone on record for the most comprehensive consultation process and the highest representation ever in the history of democratic India. Now that the bill is ready, I would like to request all political parties to participate and put their views on the floor of Parliament. Please do not mislead," minority affairs and parliamentary affairs minister Kiren Rijiju said. He also said the House may be extended if needed for passage of the bill.
