A man arrested for spying for Pakistan from Rajasthan’s Jaisalmer district, Sumer Khan, told his interrogators on Tuesday that he was handing over confidential information to the Pakistan High Commission in New Delhi.

JAISALMER: A man arrested for spying for Pakistan from Rajasthan’s Jaisalmer district, Sumer Khan, told his interrogators on Tuesday that he was handing over confidential information to the Pakistan High Commission in New Delhi.
SP Pankaj Kumar said that Khan will be in police custody for eight days. In the initial interrogation he said he was in contact with employees of the Pakistan High Commission.

Khan got visa clearance for people going to Pakistan from them and even gave confidential information through the phone.
The army has also started a parallel investigation into his activities. It has been found that he was working at a petrol pump of a Congress leader for many years with whom he had a close relationship.
According to sources, police and the CID have found four bags with important documents and that he used report about army movement in the area. He was trained by Pakistan’s ISI, they said.
