Pak cricketer to act in Malayalam film

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Come September and Pakistan cricketer Mohammad Asif will make a film debut in Mollywood. The pacer will play the lead role in a film, 'Mazhavillinattamvare' ('Till The Tip Of The Rainbow') directed by Malayalam lyricist Kaithapram Damodaran Namboothiri.
"Asif has agreed to do the role and has given his dates. Till September 20, he is busy with Test matches in England.
We hope to begin shooting in Kannur end September," Kaithapram told TOI.The film is about a person who comes to a cricket camp in Kannur from Lahore as a coach. The journey, which takes him to the other end of the 'rainbow', has a personal mission too.
