Padma Awards 2023: Complete winners list of Padma Shri, Bhushan and Vibhushan awards
President Droupadi Murmu presented Padma Vibhushan to Mulayam Singh Yadav (Posthumous) for Public Affairs. A veteran political leader, Yadav fought for the causes of people. Yadav's son, former UP CM Akhilesh Yadav, received the award on his behalf.
Music director M M Keeravaani, who bagged India's first Oscar for an original song for the 'RRR' song 'Naatu Naatu', was among those conferred the Padma Vibhushan award by President Droupadi Murmu.
Bollywood actor Raveena Tandon also received Padma Shri from President Murmu.
Author and philanthropist Sudha Murty was given the Padma Bhushan at a function held at Rashtrapati Bhavan.
President Droupadi Murmu presented Padma Vibhushan to Dr Dilip Mahalanabis (Posthumous) for Medicine. A renowned paediatrician and public health researcher, Dr Mahalanabis pioneered the use of the Oral Rehydration Solution (ORS) in the management of diarrhoeal diseases.
President Droupadi Murmu presented Padma Bhushan to Dr SL Bhyrappa for Literature & Education. A retired Professor of Philosophy, Dr Bhyrappa is a widely acclaimed Kannada author whose works have been translated in many languages.
President Droupadi Murmu presented Padma Shri to Dr Munishwar Chander Dawar for Medicine. A physician from Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh, Dr Dawar’s affordable treatment has benefited people from the weaker sections of the society.
President Droupadi Murmu presented Padma Shri to Hemoprova Chutia for Art. A handloom weaver and artist of Assam, she has a unique style and skill in handloom weaving.
President Droupadi Murmu presented Padma Shri to Premjit Baria for Art. An eminent painter and teacher, Shri Baria has guided many students of Diu district in Gujarat to achieve several awards in "International Children's Painting Competition".
